We are pleased to inform you that the second application period for admission to the Master's programmes at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, is now open. This application round will remain open until 29 August 2025.

In collaboration with the company Intervela, students developed innovative solutions for the challenge of reusing and recycling waste materials from cruising sailboat sails. They successfully presented their prototypes and business models at an event that brought together entrepreneurial knowledge, sustainable approaches, and hands-on experience.

Even in summer, the CEK Library continues to expand its collection with new print and e-books offering fresh ideas, insights, and inspiration for curious readers.

Students and their mentors, Marija Brodnjak and Prof. Dr. Boštjan Antončič, had an opportunity to took part in a dynamic gathering in Ptuj as part of the project Competencies for Supporting Entrepreneurship ("Problem-Based Student Learning in the Work Environment").

The University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business (UL SEB), co organized in the online seminar AI in Research, organized under the framework of ACE – Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools.

The traditional Ljubljana Summer School Take the Best from East and West has been successfully bringing together students from all over the world for more than two decades. This year, 166 students from 23 countries are taking part in the programme and will spend three weeks deepening their knowledge and gaining practical experience in areas such as digital business, sustainable strategies, data analysis, neuromarketing and psychology for managers.

40 students from 6 EUTOPIA partner universities (CY Cergy Paris Université, ESSEC Business School, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, Babes-Bolyai University, Universitat Pompeu Fabra) took part in the third ECOTOPIA Summer School, which took place from 30 June to 4 July at the School of Economics and Business and Center Rog.

How is the automotive industry preparing for the future? This question was at the heart of a compelling guest lecture by Dr.-Ing. Armin Messerer, Director of Global Product Management and Purchasing Lifecycle and Mobility at MAHLE—one of the world’s leading Tier 1 automotive suppliers.

From 7 July to 26 September 2025, the CEK will operate on summer opening hours. Before visiting the CEK Library, the Pink or Green Study Areas or the Finance Lab, please check their availability.

IMB students are in full preparation mode for their final project, which will be presented at the Portorož Business Conference in November.

From 4 July to 4 August 2025, due to an inventory at CEK Library, borrowing of older materials from our storage will be temporarily limited. Books from the open shelves library collection will remain available as usual.

The winner of the prestigious SAGE 10-Year Impact Award, the publisher's prize for the most cited scientific article in the 10 years following publication, is Tomaž Čater, PhD from School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, together with his co-author from London.
