Every autumn, something special happens at the International Master’s Programme in Business and Organisation (IMB) at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana – a new story begins. This year, the 33rd Generation has arrived, bringing together 42 ambitious students from 11 countries across Europe and beyond.

Welcoming New Master’s Students to UL SEB

On 29 September 2025, the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business (UL SEB) held its Master’s Welcome Day, greeting 186 international students from 34 countries who are beginning their Master’s studies with us.

The event offered essential academic info, tips from senior students from Student Council, and an introduction to Slovenian culture. A special highlight was a short Slovenian language course to help students feel more at home from day one.

We are thrilled to have such a dynamic, international group join our community and wish all our new Master’s students a successful and inspiring academic journey at UL SEB!

From Classroom to Dublin: The 32nd Generation’s Final Study Trip

The International Master’s Programme in Business and Organisation (IMB) successfully concluded its traditional final study trip with the 32nd Generation visiting Dublin, Ireland. This study trip, which marks the culmination of the students’ academic journey, offered participants first-hand exposure to some of the world’s leading companies and institutions while strengthening the connection between learning in the classroom and real business practice.

EMTM Graduation Ceremony and end of an era: celebrating the legacy of EMTM

The European Master in Tourism Management (EMTM) recently concluded its 18-year journey with a warm and spectacular celebration in Girona, marking the graduation of the 2023–2025 cohort — the last generation of the programme. Founded in 2007 as a joint initiative between the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), the University of Girona (UdG) and the University of Ljubljana (UL), the EMTM has since become a prestigious programme at the forefront of tourism education, emphasising sustainability and global perspectives.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – SEB Edition

As part of the Incom Leone project: Expansion of business models, which is taking place within the framework of the Problem-Based Learning of Students in the Workplace (PUŠ) 2024–2027 operation, students of the Faculty of Economics Eldina Agovič, Tinkara Balantič, Špela Geršak, Irma Hairlahović, Nejc Pavliha, Nina Štibelj and Nikita Stergar, under the guidance of pedagogical mentor Maša Košak and with the support of mentor from the workplace Anisa Faganelj, Head of Human Resources at Leone, explored the challenges of employee well-being and the expansion of company business models.
