On Thursday, August 28, 2025, the final event at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, showcased the results of the student work developed within the project Competences for Supporting Entrepreneurship (Problem-Based Learning for Students in a Work Environment). The focus was on the challenge set by the Footgolf Association of Slovenia: how to increase the visibility of this innovative sport in Slovenia in a sustainable way.

The students of the IMB Programme at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, have officially embarked on their final project – the Portorož Business Conference Project (PKP). The project represents the culmination of their academic journey and will be presented at the Portorož Business Conference in November 2025.

In August, the CEK Library enriched its collection of print and e-books with new titles covering a wide range of fields – from economics, marketing and entrepreneurship to management and global trends.

From 18 August to 12 September 2025, the CEK Library will operate with extended opening hours, giving UL SEB students more time and suitable conditions for effective exam preparation.

We are pleased to inform you that the second application period for admission to the Master's programmes at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, is now open. This application round will remain open until 29 August 2025.

In collaboration with the company Intervela, students developed innovative solutions for the challenge of reusing and recycling waste materials from cruising sailboat sails. They successfully presented their prototypes and business models at an event that brought together entrepreneurial knowledge, sustainable approaches, and hands-on experience.

Even in summer, the CEK Library continues to expand its collection with new print and e-books offering fresh ideas, insights, and inspiration for curious readers.

Students and their mentors, Marija Brodnjak and Prof. Dr. Boštjan Antončič, had an opportunity to took part in a dynamic gathering in Ptuj as part of the project Competencies for Supporting Entrepreneurship ("Problem-Based Student Learning in the Work Environment").

The University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business (UL SEB), co organized in the online seminar AI in Research, organized under the framework of ACE – Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools.

The traditional Ljubljana Summer School Take the Best from East and West has been successfully bringing together students from all over the world for more than two decades. This year, 166 students from 23 countries are taking part in the programme and will spend three weeks deepening their knowledge and gaining practical experience in areas such as digital business, sustainable strategies, data analysis, neuromarketing and psychology for managers.

40 students from 6 EUTOPIA partner universities (CY Cergy Paris Université, ESSEC Business School, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, Babes-Bolyai University, Universitat Pompeu Fabra) took part in the third ECOTOPIA Summer School, which took place from 30 June to 4 July at the School of Economics and Business and Center Rog.
