This year, Santa visited our library a little early and brought a sack full of new books that you can already borrow.

A fresh, new space is being created in the CEK library for socialising, relaxation, creative work and study breaks.

On Tuesday, 10 December 2024, the eagerly awaited Be International event, organised by the International Relations Office, took place at the School of Economics and Business at the University of Ljubljana. The event was met with great interest and the Hofer Hall was filled to capacity as students gathered to explore international opportunities at UL SEB.

We have successfully concluded the first Erasmus Teaching Week, held from December 2 to 6, 2024, under the title Contemporary Issues in Consumer Behavior and Marketing.

We are pleased to announce that UL SEB staff and students have one-year access to 1312 new eBooks in 2025 and permanent access to 49 eBooks from Taylor & Francis.

We welcome Prof. Dr. Danijela Miloš Sprčić as a visiting professor at IMB! This semester, she brings her expertise to the Accounting for Managers course, enriching our students’ learning experience with new challenges.

We were honoured to host Professor Jan Svejnar, Ph.D., the esteemed Richard N. Gardner Professor of Economics and International Affairs at Columbia University and founder of CERGE-EI, during the Business Environment course at IMB!

From 15 to 17 September, the School of Economics and Business hosted a visit of evaluators for the Business School Impact System (BSIS) certification. A team of two international evaluators assessed the impact of the faculty on society and the regional environment.

Last weekend, 8 – 10 November 2024, UL SEB organised and hosted the semi-finals and finals of the international competition European Ethics Bowl. Ten teams from nine European universities and one team from the alumni programme of the European Investment Bank Institute Summer School took part in this year’s event. This year, the overall theme of the competition was “Ethics and Artificial Intelligence”.

On Tuesday, 8 October, the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the European Single Supervisory Mechanism for Banks, the School of Economics and Business hosted Professor Claudia Buch, PhD, Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Single Supervisory Mechanism at the European Central Bank, which is responsible for the regulatory supervision of banks in the European Banking Union.
