Cilji predmeta

The purpose of the course is to develop an understanding of some key issues in bank management. To accomplish this objective, the course starts out with a background discussion on the structure of banks and their regulatory environment. Following this introduction, the course focuses on bank lending and interest-rate risk management. Subsequently, the course shifts attention to key management issues in banking. In particular, we focus on the role of bank capital, and the strategic positioning and competitive environment of banks.
